The Surf Lodge in Montauk, NY lets you experience the surfing culture on the East Coast. Surfing has been a major sport in Montauk, and the founders of the hotel wanted to keep the surfing lifestyle alive.

The design was intended to be stylish, bohemian-rustic, and modern, minus the pretentiousness that usually follows a boutique hotel like this one. The hotel provides comfortable rooms that mix culture with function. The beach is a half mile away, where surfers can spend their days “Hanging 10.”
