On Saturday, March 29th, from 8:00 to 9:00 pm, millions of people world-wide will be celebrating Earth Hour. Participants will shut off lights and TVs, and go dark for the event, which is in support of improving our natural environment. In the U.S., dozens of major cities from the Golden Gate Bridge to Times Square will participate, including many major corporations such as Coca-Cola, which will turn off its large billboard in New York. The entertainment industry is also stepping up to the plate, with Pete Wentz, Nicole Kidman, Dolly Parton, and others ready to make a difference. Its candlelight and battery hour folks, please visit the official earth hour web site and sign up to pledge your support at http://www7.earthhourus.org.  Obviously, we’ve got some great star power behind this event as well. Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy, actresses Cate Blanchett and Nicole Kidman, Dolly Parton, Blake Lewis, Menudo, Lonestar, and many others. In Canada Nelly Furtado is even giving a free concert. To date, 25 cities around the globe have been designated by World Wildlife Fund as official Earth Hour flagship cities, including Atlanta, Chicago, Phoenix and San Francisco in the United States.
