Angela Johnson Designs aims to please eco-conscious consumers who have a humorous side with fun dresses and gowns made from recycled tee shirts. Johnson hunts down the t-shirts from thrift shops and vintage stores. She then uses her magical touch to redesign the comfy tops into adorable t-shirt bubble and baby doll dresses (the addition of knee-high, striped socks offers a retro-modern Raggedy Ann look), gowns and party dresses, mini and ruffle dresses, and even corsets. The ready-to-wear recycled dresses by Angela Johnson Designs are unique alone. However, if you’re looking for a style to truly your own, you can collaborate with Johnson and she’ll make a dress tailored to your desires.  I could probably never pull one of these dresses off, but a ballgown made from old t-shirts is one of the coolest uses of repurposed clothing I’ve ever seen. Put one of these on and you are instantly transformed into a post-apocolytic Cinderella.
