Dream iPhone apps are now possible with ‘Shadow,' an app designed by Hunter Lee Soik and Jason Carvalho that seeks to record your dreams. The idea behind the app is to create a web of global dream behaviors and themes from the moment you wake up. The iPhone already has sensors within that act as tracking devices, which makes recording much easier.

The app starts as an alarm clock with a series of sounds that blend into your sleep cycles. They gradually get louder and as you transition from your REM sleep to waking life you can record your dream immediately via a voice recorder or text. The app will even ask you questions to help engage your memory. The app also gives you the option of keeping your records for yourself or sharing them with the world, which then contextualizes your dreams in culture and society.
