To set Unilever's new premium brand of Dove Shampoo head and shoulders above the rest, JDO Brand Design & Innovation was consulted to design packaging for the range of hair care products.
The Dove Advanced Hair Series is semi-transparent and lets the product and label colors serve as some of the most prominent parts of the designs. Naturally, the Dove shampoo meant to deliver 'Moisture' shows off its blue tint, while the 'Dry Oil' is an orange hue. These colors convey opposites and even manage to suggest the results that the shampoos will deliver. Although the terms "hi-tech" and "shampoo" hardly seem to go together, the sleek bottle designs hint at the Oxyfusion Technology Dove uses to evenly infuse hair with oxygen.
While the packaging is representative of the future of Dove, the bottles also offer a nod to its roots with the use of clean, opaque white.
