Dorothee Golz has twisted a series of classic portraits and blended them with another set of modern paintings.

The series includes paintings from Dürer and Vermeer, transformed digitally. Dorothee Golz has also put Dürer’s portrait onto another painting, complete with an intimidating stance and leather jacket.

Dorothee Golz’s work is intriguing. Her ability to manipulate the classic paintings into a modern photo is flawless as the classic figures look like they belong in their digital versions. She also twists the names of the portraits to allude to the original paintings, such as 'The Pearl Earring' and 'The Unconcerned.' Dorothee Golz’s works are definite must-sees.
