Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring/Summer 2008 women’s ad campaign embodies the designers’ vision for the season - a perfect fusion of fashion and art - with hand painted dresses shot in an artist’s studio setting. Unlike previous campaigns, the statement isn’t about sex, which is what we would expect from D&G, but about refinement. The Ad Campaign features models Jessica Stam, Gemma Ward and Lily Donaldson with photography by my absolute favorite, Steven Klein, who successfuly created a visual extravaganza.


It seems that fusing fashion with art is the thing to do these days, check the art-inspired campaign for Nordstrom:
