Ringtones For Dogs - Oh Wait, People Don't Speak 'Dog'

Similar to the dog doorbell, this phone ringtone is made specifically for dogs.  Does that mean you can call your dog?  If so, it pains me to post an article like this because I think it would only work for clever dogs.  My dog ‘treads on his own ears’ and needs me to constantly rescue him. 

Dwango is a craze from Tokyo (where else) who is about to start marketing ring tones only dogs.  The name of this service is a bit of a mouthful, called “Inu ni shika kikoenai chakushinon” (ringtones only dogs can hear).  They will be offered as a free downloads.

I have no idea why this is a good idea! it would make a great PR stunt but there is not a single bit of joking in the description. 

I can simply imagine all that would happen:  my phone would ring, the dog would steal the phone to the gardern, and I would miss everyone who tried to call me.
