Ahlens' Discount Campaign Puts Instagrammers to Work to Save Money

Åhléns' 'Shot It, Got It' is an interactive discount campaign that was hosted on Instagram. Quite simply, the campaign involved a number of short videos that featured a variety of products, shown at a quick pace. If an Instagram user had their eye on a particular item, to receive a discount they would have to be quick enough to snag a snapshot of that specific item, then upload that picture to Instagram with the appropriate campaign hashtag. From there, when a shopper goes to the store and is ready to check out the item, they are able to show the tagged Instagram photo in order to get that item for half of its regular price.

This campaign is a clever use of Instagram, appealing to those who are quick at finding deals.
