Cars even nowadays use the same principle when it comes to doors as it used in the 1890’s. The door always rested on two hinges and was closed with a latch. There were the ferrari’s which had wings but still nothing much new. That’s were Jatech stepped in and decided to innovate the humble car door. Jatech has developed revolutionary rotary drop doors that takes car doors to the next generation. The rotary drop doors that dissappear below the chasis add minimum to the clearance below the car and since the doors do not actually open outwards but slide down, you will never park yourself in a again.

This 1993 Lincoln Mark VIII has doors that roll down and under the car itself! You really have to see it in action to get the whole effect. It was recently for sale on ebay with an ending bid of $25,300 (reserve not met). [More]
