Nature Closeups - Dewdrop Macro Photography (GALLERY)
Dewdrop Macro Photography

Every day, we pass by millions of tiny scenes without notice.  This collection of dewdrop macro photography highlights some amazingly beautiful images found in nature, reminding us that the world is more complex than we’ll ever fully appreciate.

Each photograph features a different scene with dewdrops, and several include insects interacting with the dewdrops.  In one, spider prepares to drink from a dew drop.  In another, a tiny gnat is fully engulfed by a single drop.  You’ll definitely pay attention next time you see morning dewdrops after you see this gallery.

Dew forms on any exposed and thin object in the morning and (unknown to some) also in the evening. It is caused by the object cooling. When it cools it radiates the heat it is generating. That heat causes moisture in the surrounding atmosphere to condense. The water is not able to evaporate faster that it is condensing, so dew forms. (scienceray)
