With 63 (count them) categories of design to mull over, including ten specific Judges Awards, Wallpaper magazine got together a very exclusive group of judges including Wong Kar-Wei, Donatella Versace, Andre Balazs and Tadao Ando. The categories ranged from best new public house, best city and best cocktail through to best fragrance, best typeface and best watch. The awards party was held in central London last week and 250 guests dined on seared duck or barley risotto, drank copious quantities of literally the best vodka cocktail and wobbled off with a very impressive goodie bag. A couple of very sexy black Jaguars were parked in the space for people to try on for size and there were no complaints over the poshest corporate temporary toilets ever witnessed (by this writer). To see who won the 63 categories click the “read more” URL, definitely worth a look are the ten Judges Awards animations…  In true Wallpaper* style we’ve gone one step further than simply opening an envelope to reveal the winners. Instead, we’ve teamed-up with digital animators, Mainframe, to produce animations for each winner of the Judges’ Awards.
