WoW, or World of Warcraft to the rest of us, has a huge cult following. Now Dell is onto that trend, offering the new Dell XPS WOW edition notebook PC.
Dell and Bizzard Entertainment ask you to choose btween Alliance or Horde logos along with other WoW artwork. Dell wouldn't put out a punk machine for this awesome game. It's over-clockable, duo processor, 3.4 Ghz, NVIDIA graphics board and more.
Implications - Any company seeking that seeks to establish a connection with consumers on an emotional or personal level would be wise to feature ad campaigns that allow consumers to choose a design winner of a product they will sell. By placing that level of trust (and fiscal power) in the hands of consumers, the company shows a willingness to partner with its customers in order to better serve them.
