DDB Vancouver went for self-parody in their entry in the National Advertising Benevolent Society (NABS) annual calendar which had a theme of ‘Swimsuit Edition’ for 2009.
DDB went with an image of a young woman with one average sized breast, while the other is extra large with a copy that simply says "DD B."
The copy is a smart play on the agency’s name and a reference to a double-D sized breast. The ad is obviously either an acknowledgment, or a "we don’t care what you say" nudge to everyone who says ad agencies simply show big-breasted women to sell when they are out of creative ideas.
