Polished Professional Fall Looks

Sneak Peek of Miranda Kerr for David Jones Autumn Winter 2012

— November 23, 2011 — Fashion
Stunning 28-year-old Victoria's Secret model Miranda Kerr was captured posing in New York City for the David Jones Autumn Winter 2012 catalog.

The pictures here are a sneak peek of the blue-eyed beauty posing on the streets with an adorable puppy as her prop. The fall and winter line from Australian department store brand David Jones is polished and professional, comprising of put-together staples in pretty jewel tones.

One of the looks from the David Jones Autumn Winter 2012 line is a basic workday outfit dressed up with bold teal -- as you'll see in the gallery, Kerr was styled in a teal blazer with a matching paisley print blouse and sleek white trousers. Another look from the shoot was a pretty and prim blue frock coupled with a fitted black and blue striped jacket.
Trend Themes
1. Fall Fashion Staples - As evidenced by David Jones’ Autumn Winter 2012 line, there is still opportunity for traditional clothing items such as blazers and trousers to be refreshed with modern colorways.
2. Pet Photography - Pet photography is a growing trend and has the potential to add an interesting element to any promotional or marketing campaign.
3. Jewel Tones - Jewel tones such as teal are becoming increasingly popular as they offer a fresh and sophisticated alternative to neutrals.
Industry Implications
1. Fashion - Brands such as David Jones can continue to innovate by incorporating modern color palettes into traditional wardrobe items.
2. Pet Care - The intersection of pet ownership and advertising/marketing is a relatively untapped market as pet photography becomes more popular.
3. Interior Design - Jewel tones are becoming a more popular color choice in interior design, presenting opportunities to companies who manufacture and sell home goods.
