The David Irwin folding chairs were unveiled at this year's ICFF event. At the gathering, the designer focused on the traditional side of decor with his remixed version of the classic seating piece that has been essential to homes and events for decades.
In place of the standard pairing of plastic and cloth, Irwin opted for a natural approach to design with birch and oak additions. This gave way to a light coloring that can easily be matched with most interior spaces.
One of the biggest draws towards this seating concept is its functionality. The wooden pieces can be folded and tucked away. This is in large part why this layout has remained relevant for so long, and why Irwin was wise to re-introduce it.
