David Byrne has created a large musical instrument, and I mean large. Using an old pump organ and many cables attached to parts of an old victorian home, he has created ‘Playing the Building’ which uses the home as an instrument.
The ‘Playing the Building’ project by David Byrne sends air through the cables, which then causes certain parts of the home to vibrate at certain times. The house can create 40 different sounds, all through cables and air. I’d love to go see it!
