Unfortunately, I can't seem to think of a reason as to why the Darwin Lamp was named after the famous English naturalist except that either the designer thought that the name was really cool (which it is) or that he considered it one of the fittest lamp designs out there (which it very well might be). Strong and wiry, the Darwin Lamp's simple silhouette will definitely make it stand the test of time.
Created by Istanbul-based studio Naifdesign, the Darwin Lamp allegedly, "in spite of its hand made metal legs, [...] believes in theory of evolution." Made out of yellow metal, metal and iron, the Darwin Lamp definitely seems like a very well-developed, sturdy piece.
