Damon Albarn, the musical mastermind behind both Blur and The Gorillaz, is at it again, partnering with former Clash bassist Paul Simonon, Verve guitarist Simon Tong and Africa 70 drummer Tony Allen to for The Good, The Bad & The Queen, the latest Danger Mouse-produced band. Filled with Damon’s sobering remarks and mournful retrospective, their self-titled album is chock-filled with the Danger Mouse dubs and Simonon-driven grooves that keep both audiences and critics guessing how Albarn will change the musical landscape next.
