Daikin air-conditioners - Eliminates cleaning for 10 years

Always cleaning the air filters of your air conditioners? Daikin Japan develops an innovative air condition that has self-cleaning system that “eliminates cleaning for 10 years”. It features “noiseless filter cleaning unit, a fluorine-coated filter, a self-washing heat exchanger, a bacteria and mold-proof fan and an automated internal cleaning function.”
The filter is automatically pulled down when the air conditioner is turned off. Dust on the filter is scraped off with a rotating brush, which is collected in a dust box. The fluorine coated filter prevents dust from re-adhering, allowing grease to be easily cleaned off by hand. Antibacterial agents included in the coating keep the filter free of bacteria and mould.
