With retrogaming having become a big deal in the last decade, it's no surprise that luxurious custom game consoles like these are becoming popular.

They're the creation of a Slovenian artist going by the handle of Zoki64. He takes old consoles and controllers, and paints them up in new, gorgeous color schemes, sometimes themed after a particular game, always with a shiny, glossy finish that makes them pass for factory originals. Some of them are for commissions, while others for fun.

It's common during a console's production life for specially colored or themed editions to come out as limited promotions, or in bundled packs with the game they're themed after. Custom game consoles like this keeps the spirit of this alive on consoles that have long ceased production.
