George Nelson designed and built a custom house in Michigan for his close friends, the Kirkpatricks. Over the course of four years, Nelson worked with his associate Gordon Chadwick to come up with a highly personalized design. Now the home is completely livable and contemporary after a ten-year restoration that restored all its vintage details for its new owner, David Corner.

The house is now adorned with open spaces and plenty of natural light; the living and dining area incorporate an arc of recessed lighting that follow the lines of a custom sofa made specifically for the house. On the other side of the living room is the dining room that has Eames Wire Chairs and a Nelson Table. The rooms combine vintage and modern in one.
