UK Show "Fonejacker" Inspires Rise in Balaclava Sales

Hit UK TV show “Fonejacker” has inspired online sales of lookalike balaclavas, sunglasses and retro mobile phones for use at costume parties and in YouTube parodies.

The Channel 4 show features a balaclava-wearing prankster making bizarrely-voiced phone calls to unsuspecting members of the public.

Although the comedian behind the voice has recently been unmasked, this has not stopped the interest in all things “Fonejacker,” including his trademark red and white striped mask. Outfits regularly fetch up to £30 on eBay and other similar online retailers.
