Industrial designer, Giorgio Bonaguro, explores personal barcodes in his first foray into jewelry. The Milan-based engineer and designer worked in a variety of fields, from furniture packaging to lighting, having been familiar with an array of barcodes.

The 'Personal Code' bracelet has been developed for the 'Italian Design Meets Jewelry' exhibition, finding the cuff bracelet to be an interesting submission for its sculptural and impressive nature. It has a greater impact that enables it to be used on its own without the accompaniment of other jewelry.

In producing the piece, he thought about various cuffs, where the barcode stands as something typically industrial and is reproduced in large quantities, however no two barcodes are ever the same. By putting different silver circles on a simple silver structure, one can create their own jewelry.
