 Crystal Bling Meets Steampunked Sensibility While the crystal-bling craze is waning slightly, Harmon Kardon has given the concept a fresh new twist by adding elegant steampunk to the design mix. These stylish GLA-55 speakers feature integrated digital amplifiers with special drivers and a proprietary port to allow their speakers to serve as your complete sound system. Simply plug it in, throw away your old speakers and enjoy. These beauties are full of treats, including a 100-watt bi-amplified digital amplifier teamed with DSP equalization, Atlas AL drivers and woofers, a CMMD tweeter and optimisation for digital sound.  For the design side, I balanced the outside, inside and refractive aesthetic. The outside surfaces had to work harmoniously with the inside surfaces which both had to combine with the refractive nature of the facets.
