What do you get when you cross breed waves and hills to create a seating for public spaces? The answer is: Topografi (Swedish for topography).
It is the Swedish Stainless Steel Joints Designer Jonas Wannfors, DBSD who gave that answer and translated his answer into his design of the Topografi bench, which he defines as follows: This flexible seating system uses three elements that can be combined in any way and any length desired for the selected space. It rises up from any surface, making it a part of any environment. The appearance is a crucial part of the total result. The strong graphical impact of the design draws people’s attention and makes them want to test the bench. It makes a solid statement in any environment, especially when placed on a lawn where the grass grows and the bench merges with the grass. The design becomes an oneness with the shapes of nature.
This flexible seating system uses three sections: Straight, Exchange and End. By using different materials it can stand the test of time indoors and outdoors. The painted MDF version allows interior designers and architects to choose any colour of the Topografi for optimal integration of its appearance into their project.
