It looks like couture is ready for the masses!

When it comes to fashion, many of us with Veuve Cliquot tastes find ourselves on Boone's Farm budgets. But thanks to mass-market and mid-priced retailers' alliances with top international designers, far more of us can claim we're wearing Karl Lagerfeld (got it at H&M) and Nicole Miller (nabbed it at JCPenney, thank you), or be far more insider-y and "New York downtown" in Behnaz Sarafpour (she's hanging on the racks at Target). The number of style icons jumping aboard this bandwagon is swelling all the time. Regular shoppers are winning big, especially now that stores including Target and H&M are bringing in top designers to create affordable, "limited-edition" lines. Granted, the dresses we're buying at mass retailers aren't trimmed in imported lace and the accessories aren't crafted by hand, but we're often paying way less than $100 for items that can cost thousands if purchased from these same designers' signature lines.
