Courteney Cox in Cougar Town & Jennifer Aniston in Pumas

We were already looking forward to the premier of Cougar Town starring Courteney Cox, but after the crowning of Miss Cougar USA this week, we’re even more stoked for the Sept 23rd series premier. The ABC comedy is about (you guessed it) a middle aged divorced woman on the prowl for young men, or cubs as some call them.

“Can a woman of a certain age be a mom, a successful career woman and still on the prowl? Jules Cobb (Courteney Cox) is about to give it a try in Cougar Town — the comedy that dares to tell the truth about dating after divorce,” ABC describes.

Her close pal and former Friends co-star will be starring in a similar role—Jennifer Aniston’s Pumas movie is, as she describes, a “sort of a female Wedding Crashers. It’s about these girls who aspire to become cougars. They just paaarty! Young party girls who just find hot young guys to play with and then dump them. Why can’t women do it?”

With the recent surge in “cougar” innovations lately, from the Miss Cougar USA crowning at an official cougar convention to a cougar Barbie, Cougar Town stands a good chance of being a hit!
