Ennio Capasa's mood board struck the "cool woman" vibe in the Costume National Fall 2014 Collection. It's a fairly sweeping statement, but the pictures below it provided some further illumination into his thought process for Costume National: the architecture of Frank Gehry, the iron arabesques of an Anish Kapoor sculpture and the vintage pics of Patti Smith and Debbie Harry.

The woman of the Costume National show were women who mixed for the first time with men's energy in a very modern way. It's not the first time the designer worked with masculine/feminine angles, but the focus was not so much on angles than it was on tailoring.

The designer makes a point about softness and roundness by replacing most of his trousers with elastic-ankle, "jogging pants," and they looked very convincing.
