Designer Michael Jantzen creates another piece of conceptual architecture with ‘Ellen’s High Desert Retreat’ also known as the 'Contemplation Pavilion.' It’s a hybrid between architectural and artistic structures dedicated to Ellen Jantzen, a renowned digital photo artist who will utilize this space in California. The purpose of this dynamic structure is to spark some inspiration in her own endeavors.
Michael Jantzen conceptualizes a large rectangular tube, with peels along the perimeter, opening up the interior and ultimately the landscape around it. This structure is elevated by the peels and can be rotated on any side to unleash endless options of architectural perspectives. Thus it provides more ways to contemplate the environment and Ellen Jantzen’s own creative force. This structure creates an interesting dialogue with the world that unveils a different part of the environment and ourselves.
