German-born photojournalist Corinna Kern documented the life of compulsive hoarder George Fowler in her latest series.

It's clear that Kern and Fowler got to know each other very well in the time she spent photographing him; there is an intimacy, and more importantly, a sense of compassion in each image. Kern has come to "understand the human nature that lies behind his unusual condition."

In his pinstripe suit, Fowler looks out of place among his own possessions. While his personal appearance suggests a man with poise, elegance and complete control over his life, George's disordered environment completely dismantles this picture. The series deals with a sensitive and complex subject with respect, humanity and even a touch of humor. Stats for Compulsive Hoarder Photography Trending: Older & Chilly
