Kansai Yamamoto's show titled 'Fashion in Motion' at the Victoria & Albert Museum features a flair for eye-catching costumes, dance, performance and colorful kimonos. These attires are different from anything we've seen from Yamamoto before and are choreographed into a specific performance that exports Japanese culture worldwide.

These kimono fashions are absolutely stunning, adorned with metallic gold fashions and colorful decals on sleeves with matching face paint. Each model's eyes are painted with flaming blues, yellows and reds in crisscross fashion. The fashion line is heavy in texture and dimension, especially because the kimonos are layered with patchwork and Japanese iconography.

The collection presents an alternative perspective of Japanese culture, one that is entirely original and exquisitely executed. Yamamoto's vision is life in color.
