Coke Taps Calvin Harris for Furry Summer Commercial

The ‘Coke Creatures - Summer 2009 Yeah Yeah Yeah La La La Dance Party’ commercial seems to build off the fascination with the soon-to-be-released film, Where the Wild Things Are, based on the classic children’s book.

Electro-pop prince Calvin Harris teamed up with promo director Dougal Wilson to create the new summer TV advert for Coca-Cola. The ad features a man with a Johnny Depp-like flare who sets up his organ at the top of a mountain, but unlike a normal organ, when he hits the keys, squirts of Coca-Cola shoot into the mouths of cute little monsters who sing in appreciation of the soda shot.

Wilson has previously shot promos for Goldfrapp’s Happiness and Bats For Lashes track, What’s A Girl To Do. The still unnamed song by Calvin Harris will also be included on his forthcoming album, expected some time mid 2009. Stats for Friendly Monster Organs Trending: Older & Warm
