A talented artist from Nova Scotia, Canada, Ian Fisher, works to adapt reality in order to create something that's much better -- his immaculate cloud paintings are an example.

Though he supplies the canvas with enough detail to make it look like a scenic picture, Ian Fisher's vibrant use of color gives each of the cloud paintings an outer-worldly appearance. While he maintains a more traditional blue and white palette in some, others vary with contrasts of pink and yellow or green and purple.

While the clouds are carefully constructed with an high attention to detail, the skies show brushstrokes more plainly. With this, Ian Fisher manages to blend a sense of realism with supernatural fantasy, making each thwart its viewer's expectations and entrancing them at the same time.
