A graphic designer and illustrator named Irma Gruenholz from Madrid has created a series of clay illustrations. She builds each illustration with hand-sculpted modelling clay before lighting and photographing it, giving each piece a beautiful sense of depth and tone.

This artist is also capable of working with pencils and paints as her most commonly used mediums. Her intention to work with 3D art really set things in motion as she cleverly adds an incredible amount of detail to this series. These clay illustrations depict many cultured human characters within pleasant environments that capture lots of movement and variety. She uses soft pastel tone hues to create an animated perspective of each figure being portrayed. The use of beautiful imagry truly depicts a surreal and whimsical experience for the viewer.
