Church hotels are popping up all over the place, or at least in Providence where you'll find the Dean Hotel; a former church and brothel. Though not what you'd typically expect to become a tourist attraction, the hotel is making quite a name for itself with the designer in mind.
Massive, corporate hotels are peppering downtown Providence, Rhode Island's skyline and these concrete structures are the first to greet visitors as their cars exit off the highway. The downtown area is the prime lodging grounds, so an appropriate hotel is in the works. Brown University and the Rhode Island School of Design are also only a 15-minute walk up the hill, so when entering into The Dean Hotel, it can easily be mistaken for the wrong place because it's so design savvy.
