Remember the Choose Your Own Adventure books? Choose Your Path is the updated version using YouTube videos. It’s the game where YOU decide the destiny of Cory “Mr. Safety” Williams, a 27 year old who created the clips as parodies of his own life. Each video, created by SMP films, offers 64 paths or choices. In the featured video, your mission is to “Find Sparta and leave a comment when you find him.” The clip asks viewers where they would like to search first, selecting between A. The Office, B. The Living Room, C. The Bathroom and D. The Bedroom. The way you play is by watching the video until the end when it “shows you the path,” which lists the options. MY VIEWS ON THE FUTURE OF US:
The problem with today's society is that it was raised by traditional media (television, movies, magazines). A media that gave us perfect people, with perfect smiles, with perfect grammar, and perfect lives, but failed to remind us that those perfect icons were never actually perfect. So when people like me who are real, put themselves in the eye of the media, they are compared to perfection and will always fall short. Most people who are lost in life may feel lost for this simple reason. Some day, new media (the internet) will teach Tomorrow's society how to be themselves again rather than faking perfect. Every new video that we, the real people, create online is one step closer to the new.
