Jerry Belich's Choosatron is a prime example of a Kickstarter program destined to succeed. Belich's creation is a modernized, yet timeless miniature arcade-style machine that generates a story that the user can interact with to independently determine what direction the tale takes. Never has Choose-Your-Own-Adventure storytelling been so entertaining and without the constant strange page-turning that was characteristic of it years ago (you know what I'm talking about, former Goosebump readers).

The story begins to type out on a scroll and at certain points offers you a handful of choices to choose from to proceed. Tons of fun to play, and potentially even fun to create for directly -- the Choosatron already has four authors connected to it to write Choose-Your-Own-Adventure stories to be downloadable with it, and readers will also be invited to join in the writing via open and completely free software.

Deceptively simple, utterly engrossing, and enticingly personalizable and charming, the Choosatron is a product you'll definitely want on your desk or the desk of a loved one. Stats for Interactive Arcade-Style Literature Trending: Older & Warm
