Cholesterol screening tests are now being offered to toddlers as young as two years old. In addition, cholesterol drugs for children as young as 8 may soon be administered by doctors, to function as early prevention for diabetes and heart disease later in life. After last week’s feature on the terrifyingly high obesity rates in America, it really should be no surprise.
