The ‘Food52' blog has whipped up a quick and easy recipe for making delicious chocolate churro rounds. While churros are traditionally long and flute-shaped, this DIY recipe transforms the spicy cinnamon donuts into tasty, bite-sized rounds.

Begin making your puck-shaped churros by combining water, brown sugar and butter in a pan. Bring this mixture to a boil and then add flour. Remove the pot from heat and then add eggs, vanilla, salt and nutmeg. Heat a bit of oil in a separate pan and then begin dropping small dollops of batter into the oil. Once all of the batter has been fried, roll the churros in a combination of sugar, cayenne and coco. The end result is a batch of delicious chocolate churro rounds.

While this recipe may not be very nutritious, it allows consumers to indulge their sweet tooth without going overboard. The bite-sized rounds serve as the perfect guilt-free dessert option.
