The Chloé Spring 2014 Collection is adorned with crisp, clean and cropped lines. Creative director Clare Waight Keller takes inspiration from exotic beaches with materials like silk and chiffon in the form of caftans and deep V-neck plissé with fluttering ends and twisted knots.
The piece that stands out overall is the oversized carpenter trousers cut in sheer linen with pleated gathers at the waist. Accessories to match these pieces are cork wedge mules perfect for coastal town strolls. The collection is relaxed and a true definition of spring, with muddy khakis, shades of wet sand and a range blues that recall deep sapphire waters. Many of the collections seen so far look like fusions with fall fashions, but this collection is relaxed, bright and really taps into the brightening colors of the season.
