Asia and more specifically China and its many symbolizations are explored in the new China Collection by Ena Macana. This jewelry collection is a selection of made in China toys that are then re-constructed in Macana’s Barcelona workshop. The recreations are provocative and quite beautiful. They are also a thoughtful way of inverting the fashion counterfeit trade often seen in China.

The China Collection by Ena Macana explores militarism, consumerism and art. The complex compositions often give way to simplified meanings, like the toy assault rifles arranged to form a cross or the pinwheel arrangement of pumps.
