Dutchtub is a cool looking, half-orb, wood heated hot tub that weighs all of 165 pounds. Because it doesn’t run on electricity and is heated with old fashioned fire, the only limitation of a Dutchtub is the length of your garden hose.
The water is heated inside stainless steel coils, which spiral around the burning logs. The bigger your fire, the hotter the water. Because of its light weight, the Dutchtub can be placed in the back of a pickup or on the roof of a car and moved from place to place.
Dutchtub can be maintained like traditional hot tubs, which rely on chemicals to stay clean. But because Dutchtub is an eco-friendly invention, it’s probably better to use with fresh water. Plus, when it’s time to empty the tub you don’t have to worry about dumping chemicals into the ground. The makers of Dutchtub recommend wiping it down with a spray such as Simple Green when it’s done being used.
There are some cool optional accessories like a chimney to keep the smoke at bay and a hand-truck to roll it around easily.
