If you’re looking for a cheap 3D printer, look no further. Deltaprintr is a new project featured on Kickstarter that’s bringing 3D printing to your very own home. Created by two college students, this easy to use and affordable printer is a novel device that uses fishing line instead of traditional belts.

An open-air design replaces the Cartesian-style box, allowing the Deltaprintr quicker printing and easier expansion. As a result, this printer allows easier leveling calibration and only costs $675. You’re guaranteed that this low price provides the same level of quality as a standard 3D printer; it has a 4mm tip capable of 100-micron resolution.

By default, it allows printing objects up to 12-inches high and can be increased by replacing the fishing line with longer strands.
