Not only are the Chainsaw Stools incredibly stylish, they are also very charitable. At least, they will make those who purchase them charitable. The Chainsaw Stools were donated to raise relief funds for Hurricane Sandy. Helping those who still suffer has never been easier thanks to these rugged geometric forms. The Chainsaw Stools would sell even without the good samaritan incentive.
Created by Ian and Gregory of Fort Standard, the Chainsaw Stools also gives a second chance at life to fallen trees near the design studio's headquarters in Red Hook, Brooklyn. To better commemorate the events of Hurrican Sandy, the stools have been painted in colors inspired by storms. Dark and moody, the pieces will nevertheless liven up any living space thanks to their dynamic shapes and rough textures created using chainsaws.
