It seems to me like Linday Lohan and Brangelina are singlehandedly keeping gossip and celebrity magazines in business.

Lohan, for her part, landed the contract to be the face of the Italian brand Fornarina back in May, and the promo pictures have finally been released.

Flirtatiously posing against the backdrop of the exclusive Stahl House in Los Angeles, Lindsay Lohan is captured wearing regular jeans and tops that are underwhelming compared to the sensuous and over-the-top clothes we have become accustomed to seeing the young and beautiful actress wear on magazine covers and spreads.

After doing some research to see what kind of reaction other online magazines had about Lindsay’ new look, it is safe to say that the young actress got a very nasty beating from some of the virtual rags. Some went as far as to call the garments “frightening and boring.”

Well, I could not agree more. The clothes are definitely boring. But is it fair to have these kinds of expectations from Lindsay? Probably not. The thing is though, that the actress set a precedent, and now she’s being typecast as this voluptuous and daring actress who has never being shy about taking it all off.

Savage criticism is just a tiny price to pay for being rich and famous, I suppose.

Though she's technically modeling, her facial expressions aren't much different than what she's used to. But the clothes are definitely more colorful than what she wears in real life. What do you think about these Lindsay Lohan for Fornarina ads? (fabsugar)

Maybe this isn't such a bad 'trend?' Millions of people are living in poverty and a few news reports say people are getting a bit tired of the rich and fabulous being flaunted in their face. Even television shows this year will be geared more towards the lives of middle-class and below. Maybe this is one way celebs are trying to get 'in touch' with 'regular folks.'

Humanized? I would never have thought of that as bad I am with titles. But humanized is a bit extreme. Less sexual or something like that maybe. I think the widespread reaction-- and it is very widespread-- is due to the fact that everyone is so used to seeing Lindsay naked or half naked on Mags and shit. Seeing Lindsay wear "normal" and Marcia Brady clothes is as shocking as seeing Dita von Teese wear a tent dress on on Playboy Mag.

I'm with ya L. With everyone in the media taking it all off, its refreshing to see her wearing something that is not so revealing. We also have to keep in mind the nature & style of the brand and campaign she's doing. A model in an ad campaign embodies the style and the art direction of the photography, we should look at this as the ad campaign with Lindsay as the model, not as a photoshoot for Lindsay. Just like when we have a futuristic or crazy photoshoot or ad campaign, it doesnt mean the model/star is really like that.
