Royal College of Art graduate Gisele Ganne has created a collection of beautiful jewellery with a rather macabre undertone. These exquisite pieces are influenced by Victorian mourning jewellery and are mean as a celebration of life, death, marriage and failed relationships. With 42% of marraiges ending in divorce in the UK, Gisele took the opportunity to turn this painful time into a celebration. Her pieces use subverted images of union and marriage to celebrate life continuing after the heartache. The rings sit across all four fingers ensuring the jewellery really makes a statement References: giseleganne, vogueFiled In: |
