The Lexus Nuareo Concept|
The Lexus Nuareo (pronounced “no-ero") which means ‘new aerodynamics’, is a catamaran-inspired design by Jon Radbrink, a Swedish graduate of automotive design. The Lexus Nuearo concept was Radbrink’s thesis project at the Royal College of Art. Radbrink created the Nuareo with a catamaran styled underbody, in-wheel motors, hub-center steering, touch-screen dashboard and a driving system that is, “controlled solely by hand without the use of foot pedals; to break, the driver pushes the steering wheel away from their body.” The Nuareo’s lightweight of 800kg is not much more than the SMART fortwo 730kg. Radbrink says, “I believe that this design paradox of low weight and large presence could be the way we’ll define premium in the future.” Via: dezeen |
