The multi-functional Castlight suffers from an identity crisis: it wants to flaunt the new eco-friendly LED technology, but it cannot let go of the romance of candle lights.

By placing the Castlight upright on its base, you get a stylish candle holder. When you need to use the flashlight portion, simply twist the handle and hold it by its rubberized grip. You can even use it as a candle holder and flashlight simultaneously for an ambient effect.

I like how the design disguises the technology under a traditional piece of decor.

The Castlight operates on 3 AAA batteries and sells for $50.
