While dairy-free milk sales around the world are most often dominated by soy-based products, alternatives like rice, hemp, coconut, oats, almonds and cashew milk are breaking into the mainstream.

As one of the leading providers of plant-based milk alternatives, Silk is now introducing a creamy cashew milk in Original, Chocolate, Unsweetened and Vanilla varieties. The healthy beverage is free of cholesterol, lactose, dairy, soy, gluten and it is recognized as a GMO-free product. In comparison to animal-based products, Silk claims that its nut milk is creamier than skim milk.

Aside from the inclusion of blended cashews, the nut milk gets its creamy texture and sweet flavor from ingredients like cane sugar and almond butter, plus additional fortification from Vitamins E, A, B2, B12 and D2.
